Who is Antoni Gaudi?

Antoni Gaudi lived from 1852 until 1926 and he’s considered to be the best Spanish modernist architect. He lived and worked most of his life in Barcelona. In his design work, he tried to combine elements from nature, religion and architecture.

Gaudi’s life work was the construction of the Sagrada Familia. The church was commissioned in 1883 and it’s still not finished today! Gaudi knew he would never see it completed so he left detailed instructions on how it should be completed.

Why take a Barcelona Gaudi Tour?

Barcelona is one of the best cities to visit in Spain and maybe even Europe. You got everything from the beach to culture, from amazing restaurants to lively nightlife. Barcelona is especially great for vegans to visit since there are so many all-vegan restaurants in Barcelona.

There’s so much to discover and learn about this multicultural city and the easiest way to do this is with a tour. And if you look into Barcelona tours Gaudi is bound to come up. The city is forever linked with this extraordinary architect. The two most famous constructions by Gaudi are the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell but there are also a few lesser-known buildings by Gaudi in Barcelona. All the designs by Gaudi are not just stunning to look at, there’s also so much thought put behind the art and the easiest way to learn about it is with a tour. The only question is do you want a tour where you enter the two most famous constructions or do you want to see more buildings by Gaudi but just from the outside?

What to bring to the tour?

Especially in summer, it can get really hot in Barcelona so you should bring a bottle of water with you. Besides that, I only recommend wearing comfortable shoes. On city trips, I always wear comfortable shoes because, on every day exploring a city, the steps add up until the evening.
