If you’re looking for the best Harry Potter shops in London, you’ll quickly realise there are quite a few options, but not all of them are worth your time.
When I first visited London in search of all things Harry Potter, there were even more themed shops scattered across the city. Over the years, some have closed or changed their focus, but thankfully the best and most unique stores are still going strong.
In this guide, I’ve narrowed it down to the 5 best Harry Potter shops in London, the ones that are truly worth visiting, plus a short section at the end with larger stores that carry Harry Potter merchandise.
Whether you’re looking for exclusive collectibles, unique artwork, or just a classic Hogwarts sweater, this list will help you decide exactly where to go.
1. House of MinaLima
If you love the graphic design details in the Harry Potter films, House of MinaLima is the most unique Harry Potter shop in London.
MinaLima is the design studio founded by Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, the graphic artists behind many of the iconic props in the films, from the Hogwarts acceptance letter to the Black family tree and the Daily Prophet newspapers.
The Soho shop feels almost like a small museum. You can browse framed prints, limited-edition artwork, beautifully designed stationery, tea towels, and even special illustrated editions of the Harry Potter books. Many of these designs are exclusive to this shop.
Verdict: The best shop in London for unique, artistic Harry Potter souvenirs you won’t find anywhere else.
2. Shop at Harry Potter Studio Tour
If you’re visiting the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Watford, the gift shop is easily the largest and most comprehensive Harry Potter shop in the UK.
I’ve visited the studio tour three times, and the merchandise selection is really impressive.
- The main shop at the end of the tour carries everything from wands and Hogwarts robes to homeware, collectibles, stationery, and exclusive items you won’t find in most central London stores.
- There’s even a dedicated Honeydukes section with themed sweets and colourful packaging.
- About halfway through the tour, you’ll also find a smaller Platform 9¾ shop focused on Hogwarts Express merchandise.
The only downside is that this shop isn’t actually in central London and you can only access it with a Studio Tour ticket in Watford.
Verdict: Best selection but unfortunately it’s outside of London and can only be visited as part of the Warner Bros Studio Tour.
3. Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 3/4
The official Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9¾ is located inside King’s Cross Station, right next to the famous trolley photo spot.
Before entering the shop, you can take a picture pushing your luggage trolley “through the wall”, one of the most popular Harry Potter photo opportunities in London. It’s fun and iconic, just be ready to queue up for a while.
Inside, you’ll find a wide selection of official Wizarding World merchandise, including house scarves, robes, wands, collectibles, and exclusive Platform 9¾ items.
That said, it’s almost always busy, sometimes you even have to queue to enter the shop. During my visits, the shop felt quite crowded, which made browsing a bit stressful.
Verdict: Official Harry Potter store in London at King’s Cross Station with great selection but it gets very crowded.
4. The Noble Collection
If you’re looking for high-quality collectibles rather than typical souvenir merchandise, The Noble Collection is the place to go, just know that prices are on the higher end.
This shop specialises in officially licensed Harry Potter replicas and premium items, from detailed character wands and horcruxes to jewellery, chess sets, and prop recreations straight from the films. The quality feels noticeably higher than in most general souvenir stores.
The interior has a slightly castle-like atmosphere, and the wand display alone is worth a look if you’re trying to choose your house allegiance carefully.
Verdict: Best for premium replicas and high-end Harry Potter collectibles.
5. Wizards and Wonders
Wizards and Wonders is located near Trafalgar Square, and it’s probably the most popular unofficial Harry Potter souvenir shop.
The shop has a strong selection of classic Harry Potter merchandise, including house-themed clothing, scarves, mugs, and wands.
The window display often features eye-catching magical elements, and the ground floor focuses heavily on wizarding items, while the upper level includes general London souvenirs.
While you won’t find the same level of exclusivity as at House of MinaLima or the premium replicas from The Noble Collection, it’s a solid central London option if you’re already exploring the area.
Verdict: A good all-round Harry Potter shop in a prime central location.
Shops with a Harry Potter Section
The following stores aren’t dedicated Harry Potter shops, but they do carry a decent selection of Wizarding World merchandise.
Hamleys
Hamleys on Regent Street is one of the most famous toy stores in the world. While it isn’t exclusively a Harry Potter shop, it has a dedicated Wizarding World section in the lower levels.
You’ll find a wide range of Harry Potter toys, board games, puzzles, plushies, and themed versions of classic games like Scrabble. It’s particularly good for younger fans.
But they also stock some higher-end Noble Collection items, making it a surprisingly well-rounded stop.
The LEGO Store at Leicester Square
The LEGO Store at Leicester Square is a must-visit for fans of the LEGO Harry Potter sets.
Inside, you’ll find impressive LEGO builds of Harry Potter characters and scenes, along with the full range of Hogwarts-themed LEGO sets. It’s a great stop if you’re looking for a buildable souvenir rather than clothing or collectibles.
Even if you’re not planning to buy anything, the displays alone are worth seeing.
