10 Most Magical Harry Potter Shops in London

London is one of the best places to be as a Harry Potter fan, there’s a wide selection of Harry Potter attractions and even original filming locations. And of course there are also plenty of Harry Potter shops in London.

As a big Harry Potter fan myself, I’ve been fortunate enough to explore all the Harry Potter stores sprinkled across London. And I’ve found some are more unique than others.

So, if you’re looking for the perfect Harry Potter shop in London, look no further. In this guide, I’ll share the best features of each shop and I’ll try to bring you a step closer to finding that perfect Harry Potter souvenir to add to your collection or to gift a fellow Potterhead.

Let’s start this magical journey together!

Best Harry Potter Shops in London

1. Shop at Harry Potter Studio Tour

The biggest Harry Potter shop UK is at the Warner Bros Studios

If you’re a true Harry Potter fan, then the Warner Bros Studio Tour in London is a must-visit destination. It’s located in Watford which can be easily reached from London. And it’s so worth it, trust me, I’ve been there three times already!

Not only will you be able to explore the sets and props used in the movies, but you’ll also find yourself surrounded by the biggest selection of magical items that can be purchased at their gift shop.

The main gift shop is at the end of the tour, where you’ll find everything from wands to wizards robes, blankets and mugs, to stuffed magical beasts and so much more. There’s even a special Honeydukes section with magical candy and unique mugs.

But that’s not all, about half way through the tour there’s a Platform 9 3/4 shop which sells all kind of merchandise around the Hogwarts Express.

You can also get an add-on to your studio tour ticket for a Harry Potter afternoon tea in the great hall, a very unique and magical experience.

Adresse: Studio Tour Dr, Leavesden WD25 7LR

Verdict: Best selection but unfortunately it’s outside of London and can only be visited as part of the Warner Bros Studio Tour.

2. Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 3/4

People queuing outside one of the Harry Potter shops in London
Harry Potter shop Kings Cross is always super busy!

This iconic shop is located at the Kings Cross Station in London, it’s right next to the photo spot of the trolley half-way through the wall at platform 9 3/4 (which is nowhere near platform 9 and 10).

It’s definitely a must-visit destination in London for any Harry Potter fan as you can take a photo with the trolley (don’t forget your scarf and glasses!) before you enter the shop.

In the Kings Cross Harry Potter shop you can browse through their huge selection of Harry Potter merchandise. The shop offers a wide range of items including clothing, accessories, souvenirs, and collectibles.

As magical as this shop sounds, I’ll be honest it’s one of my least favorite ones because of the number of people inside it. I just felt stressed out by the crowd and I couldn’t browse in peace.

Address: King’s Cross Station, Euston Rd, Kings Cross, London N1 9AP

Verdict: Official Harry Potter store in London at King’s Cross Station with great selection but it gets very crowded.

3. House of Spells

Probably my favorite Harry Potter store London city center

House of Spells is a hidden gem located in the heart of London. It offers a truly magical shopping experience for Harry Potter fans and it’s one of my favorite Harry Potter stores in London.

The shop has two floors, the ground floor is filled with everything about Harry Potter, the first floor is all about other fantasy universes, like Game of Thrones and Stranger Things to name just two examples.

From wands to robes, from golden snitches to magical creatures, you’ll find it all here. It feels like they have the biggest selection of clothes. The most unique part of this Harry Potter shop are the magical potions they sell, which are very colorful soft drinks in glass bottles.

You’ll definitely want to spend some time browsing through the items and taking pictures of this beautifully decorated shop. Seriously, just the interior design makes this shop worth visiting.

Address: 69-71 Charing Cross Rd, London WC2H 0NE

Verdict: Best place if you’re looking for Harry Potter themed clothes and magic potions to drink.

4. House of MinaLima

How cool is this London Harry Potter shop?!

If you’re a fan of the graphic design and art in the Harry Potter movies, then House of MinaLima is the best Harry Potter locations in London for you.

This shop showcases the beautiful work of Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, who created all the graphic props used in the films like the family tree of the Black family and the Hogwarts acceptance letter.

Looking at some original movie design work is one of the magical Harry Potter related things to do in London.

Aside from selling prints and other merchandise featuring their designs, the shop also has a museum-like exhibition of their work. It’s definitely a must-visit in Soho for any Harry Potter fan looking to take home a unique and artistic piece from the wizarding world.

They mainly have postcards, tea towels and pillow cases with their unique Harry Potter designs but you can also find a Harry Potter wallpaper and other unique items. Not to forget their amazing special edition illustrated Harry Potter books.

Address: 157 Wardour St, London W1F 8WQ

Verdict: Best place for unique Harry Potter souvenirs from London you can’t get anywhere else.

5. The Noble Collection

An almost empty looking store with just a few pieces on display
Noble Collection, the Harry Potter shop London Covent Garden, is very different to other shops

The Noble Collection offers a wide range of officially licensed Harry Potter merchandise. From jewelry to collectibles and movie replicas, you’ll find everything a true fan could want.

The shop is beautifully decorated in a castle-like style and has an impressive selection of wands and other magical items. They also have a section dedicated to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

But be warned, the prices are on the higher end. However, if you’re looking for high-quality collectibles and unique pieces, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Address: Ground Floor 26, 28 Neal St, London WC2H 9PS

Verdict: High-end store with luxurious Harry Potter merchandise for true collectors and fans.

6. House of Secrets

A very ordinary Harry Potter store London Oxford Street

Located in Soho, House of Secrets is another one of the Harry Potter stores London has to offer. The shop is filled with magical items and collectibles from the wizarding world, including wands, cups, clothes, figurines, and more.

All in all it’s a very usual place to get Harry Potter souvenirs, it’s alright but there’s not really anything unique about it in my opinion.

Like House of Spells this shop is not officially licensed by Warner Bros.

Address: 146-148 Oxford Street, London W1D 1NB

Verdict: Very average Harry Potter shop in London.

7. Wizards and Wonders

The Wizards and Wands location at Strand

There are two locations of Wizards and Wonders. One is near Leicester Square and the other one is near Trafalgar Square.

My recommendation, skip the one near Leicester Square, it’s super tiny and compared to other stores it has a small selection of Harry Potter merchandise. I was also surprised to find merchandise for other universes as well in such a small store.

As much as I love the TV show Friends, merchandise of the show seem misplaced in a store called Wizards and Wonders.

The location near Trafalgar Square is much better. It has a very cool window display with Mr. Weasley’s car and some other magical elements. The store itself has a great selection of Harry Potter merchandise.

You can find all your typical Harry Potter merchandise and even some unique designs on clothes and mugs. All of the ground floor is dedicated to Harry Potter and on the first floor you can find general London souvenirs.

Address: 13 Coventry St, London W1D 7DH, United Kingdom

455 Strand, London WC2R 0RH, United Kingdom

Verdict: Nice store if you’re in the area but I wouldn’t make a special trip for it. Unique items are limited.

8. Shop at the Palace Theater

I saw the theatre twice and loved it!

For fans of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage play, make sure to stop by the shop at the Palace Theater after watching the show.

Here you can find exclusive merchandise related to the play including t-shirts, hoodies, posters, and more. They also have a great selection of wizarding world sweets like Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans and Chocolate Frogs.

The shop is small but definitely worth a visit for any fan of the play. Watching the play is one of the amazing Harry Potter activities in London. I’ve seen the play twice already and it’s so magical!

Address: 113 Shaftesbury Ave, London W1D 5AY

Verdict: A must-visit for fans of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

9. Hamleys

Hamleys is a world famous toy store located on Regent Street in London. While it’s not specifically a Harry Potter store, they do have a dedicated section in the cellar for all things wizarding world.

They offer an impressive selection of toys and merchandise from the Harry Potter franchise. Especially their Harry Potter games and puzzles make this a unique stop for any Harry Potter fan in London.

You can get Harry Potter themed versions of classic games, like Scrabble, but also specific Harry Potter games, like The Battle of Howarts.

It’s also a great place to find gifts for younger fans who may not be ready for some of the more high-end collectibles. But they also do sell the high end collectibles from Noble Collection.

Plus, visiting Hamleys is always a fun and magical experience in itself!

Address: 188-196 Regent St., London W1B 5BT

Verdict: Best store for different interests, you can find everything from games to high end collectibles.

10. The LEGO Store at Leicester Square

Even though it’s not really a London Harry Potter store you can find great pieces at the LEGO store

Last but certainly not least, the LEGO Store at Leicester Square is a must-visit for both Harry Potter and LEGO fans alike.

The store features multiple Harry Potter characters and scenes built entirely out of LEGOs spread throughout the store. You can buy your own Harry Potter LEGO and stuffed animals as well.

Address: 3 Swiss Ct., Leicester Square, London W1D 6AP

Verdict: A must-visit for fans of both Harry Potter and LEGO. Amazing displays and unique merchandise available.

Final Thoughts: My Favorite Harry Potter Souvenir Shop London

It’s very difficult to pick a favourite Harry Potter souvenir shop because there are so many great ones. If you have more days in London, you can simply visit a few different shops.

In general, I’d say Minna Lima is the best one for very unique Harry Potter souvenirs you can’t get anywhere else.

For a “normal” souvenir like a cool sweater, T-shirt, or mug, check out House of Spells and Wizards and Wonders near Trafalgar Square. They have everything a Potter-head could wish for no matter in what house you are.

And the Harry Potter studio tour shop is a must-visit if you’re visiting the Warner Bros Studios. The only reason it’s so far down my personal favourites list is that it’s not directly in London and you can only visit it with the studio tour.
