I was really unsure if I should do a day trip from Barcelona to Girona by train because I wasn’t sure if Girona is worth visiting. But when I got there I loved it. Maybe it’s because I’m a sucker for city walls, where you can walk on top of, and for colourful houses next to some water. Girona has both and much more. Granada vs Malaga: Why I Prefer Granada Over Málaga

Granada and Malaga are two highly recommended cities in Andalusia, Spain. So you might consider setting a base in one of them and visiting the other as a day trip. Malaga is definitely the bigger city with almost 580,000 inhabitants compared to Granada with about 230,000 inhabitants. But size is not everything in the battle of Granada vs Malaga. Visiting Arab Baths In Granada

Why would you just go to see the ruins of an Arab Bath in Granada when you can visit a functional Arab Bath? Okay, if you’re interested in history visiting the ruins of ancient baths will be worth it. But go to a modern Arab Bath as well though, so you can experience how the ancient baths must have been in their time. It’s a perfect way to relax after a day exploring Granada. And Granada has a lot to explore, read my article about it here. Even if you’re just in Granada to visit Alhambra relaxing in a Hammam afterwards is a perfect way to end the day. You can check out my tips for visiting Alhambra here.

Alhambra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a Spanish Cultural Heritage and one of the Seven Wonders Of The Muslim World. In other words, it’s a must-see if you’re in Andalusia. It’s located in Granada, a gorgeous town with so much more to offer than just Alhambra.
