3 All-Vegan Restaurants for Best Vegan Breakfast Sydney
There are plenty of vegan restaurants and vegan cafes in Sydney. Instead of giving you an unmanageable list of vegan breakfast places, I’ll tell you about the 3 absolute best places in which you can get the best vegan breakfast Sydney has to offer.
All the places I mention in this post are 100% vegan, because I just love going to all vegan restaurants. You can order anything from the menu without having to check if it’s really vegan and there can’t be a mixup in the kitchen because everything is vegan.
Oh my days – Glebe
Oh my days is an incredible plant-based bakery with the absolute best vegan breakfast Sydney has to offer. It was my favourite place for vegan breakfast in the city but the delicious pastries are also perfect for a quick sweet treat in between.
I had a green smoothie, a vegan omelette and one of their signature stuffed croissants. The green smoothie was simply delicious, one of the best I’ve had.
The Omelette was really good as well. It was made with some kind of egg replacement, and the inside was still gooey. The omelette came with fresh greens on the side which were a perfect addition to the omelette.
The place looks small from the outside but itās quite spacious, they got a backyard and an upstairs seating area. It looks super cute inside and it has a very cosy atmosphere. And the pastries on display next to the entrance don’t just look unbelievable, they’re also super delicious.
The best day to visit is a Saturday because the popular Glebe market is just around the corner on Saturdays. And strolling through this famous vintage market is one of the amazing alternative things to do in Sydney.
Miss Sina – Surry Hills
Miss Sina is a vegan bakery with two locations in Sydney. I visited the location in Surry Hills, the second location is in Marrickville.
Miss Sina in Surry Hills is one of the best vegan cafes in Sydney. It got a small outdoor seating area, there isn’t much space inside.
They have everything they offer on display, so you can have a look before you make your choice. Many items are gluten-free. You can choose from 5 different plant-based milk.
There are just a few savoury options but plenty of sweet ones. I had a focaccia sandwich and a cinnamon roll and I can highly recommend the cinnamon roll, it was really fluffy and delicious.
The toilet is in a next-door garage, and to be honest it looks a bit creepy and messy. But the toilet itself is very spacious and clean.
To have a truly unforgettable day in Sydney you can go for a helicopter flight over Sydney after a delicious vegan breakfast. From a helicopter, you’ll have the best views of Sydney Harbour and the stunning coastline near Sydney.
Shift Eatery
Shift Eatery is the first vegan deli in Sydney. It’s the place where you can get the best vegan brunch Sydney has to offer since they serve both breakfast and midday snacks. It’s the perfect spot to get some food before embarking on a walking tour in Sydney.
They have indoor and outdoor seating and they have a small shop as well. The shop area consists of some shelves with sweets and snacks and also one refrigerator with vegan cheese and other items. So it’s a great place to grab a bite to eat and get some snacks for later.
I had some food there and bought a muffin as a snack for the bus ride to Canberra. Read my article about it to find out if Australia’s capital is worth visiting.
By the way, grabbing a snack is a great idea if you’re heading to Canberra next because there are not that many vegan places in Canberra. But now back to Shift Eatery.
You can order online when you open the QR code on the tables with your phone or you can order inside at the counter. They have Wi-Fi in case you don’t have mobile data in Australia. When you order online you can look at the pictures of the food at the ordering app.
I had a salmon bagel, a mango lassi and a Biscoff cheesecake. The salmon bagel was good but the vegan salmon just tasted like tomato. The mango lassi was quite thick but super delicious.
And the Biscoff cheesecake was almost too pretty to eat. It was really delicious, with the right amount of sweetness and a bit lemony from the cream.
